Our History

Drip proof plugs that for a better environment
The service plug was developed by Yelloc's founder Thomas Gradin, who worked in Swedish mines as a service technician for drilling rigs, wheel loaders, trucks, and other mine related types of machines. Additionally, Thomas was a service technician during the construction of the Botniabanan railway, and was responsible for service, maintenance, and repair of excavators and rock crushers. During that time, Thomas realized the great need for drip proof plugs to stop leaks of oil and cooling systems that were often caused by unnecessary liquid spills during maintenance work on machines. However, besides the advantage of minimizing the risk of oil getting into the surrounding environment, the service plug by Yelloc also prevents dirt from entering hydraulic and cooling systems, which makes the drip proof plugs a versatile tool within the hydraulic industry.

A Journey Toward Innovation and Environmental Protection
Fifteen years ago, our founder Thomas Gradin began a journey that would change how we handle hazardous liquids and oils in our world. His vision was to create a product that could protect the environment and enable people to act as environmental heroes in their daily lives. The result of his work is today known as Yelloc's service plugs, which are available in 13 different countries and have become a global reference point for environmental protection.

The First Steps: Prototypes of Environmental Plugs
Thomas Gradin, an entrepreneur aware of environmental issues, started his journey by
developing prototypes of service plugs, also called hose plugs or hydraulic plugs. He realized that many oil and fluid spills were caused by accidents and mishaps in industries and households around the world. By creating a rubber hose plug that was easy to use and could prevent spills from reaching nature, which was later developed into service plugs by Yelloc, he provided a proper solution for industries and households. After many attempts and thorough testing, Thomas finally arrived at the first functioning prototypes. These early rubber hose plugs proved to be very effective in stopping leaks and spills. Thomas was convinced that he was on the right track and decided to take his work to the next level.

Expansion and International Growth
Thomas began marketing his service plugs and quickly found a market among industries, companies, and entrepreneurs keen to reduce their environmental footprint. His rubber hose plugs quickly became popular in Sweden, and he realized the potential to expand internationally. Thomas worked hard to meet international standards and safety requirements, and soon his service plugs had reached 15 different countries.

A Global Success Story
Today, Thomas is known as a pioneer in environmental protection and innovation. His
service plugs are now part of Yelloc and are used by professionals and consumers worldwide to prevent oil and hazardous liquids from polluting our environment. Thomas's story is an example of how one person's determination and vision can make a real difference in the world. Yelloc continues to build on what Thomas has established by developing new and innovative environmental protection products and striving to make the world cleaner and safer for all of us.
